We no longer use any tracking cookies. Previously we used Microsoft Clarity and Clicky for statistics and tracking, but we have built a custom solution that can do this without using cookies and sharing data with Microsoft or other 3rd party providers. See Scrying for more information.

The old tracking cookies should be deleted automatically, but if they for some reason are still present you can safely delete them yourself.

Patreon Login / next-auth

You can log in with your Patreon account on this site. We use a solution called next-auth (https://next-auth.js.org/) to handle the login process. Next-auth uses cookies to store the session.

Analytics

Scrying

We have built our own analytics solution called Scrying. It is a simple solution that generates a random user id for you, and then tracks your page views and basic site usage anonymously. It does not use any cookies, and does not collect any personal information. The data is stored in a database, and is only used to show us how many visitors we have and which pages are the most popular. We will never share or sell this data to others.

Vercel's analytics solution

We use Vercel's analytics solution (https://vercel.com/docs/next.js/analytics) to get some basic analytics on the site, like page views and where in the world visitors come from. It also gives us insight into the loading times for different pages so we can address any problems related to slow pages. This is done without any cookies, and only collects data on the pages you visit.

Comments

We have built our own comment system that does not use any cookies. The comments are stored in a database, and are only visible to you and other users of the site. We will never share or sell your comments to others.
Please do not post any personal information in the comments, as they are visible to others. All comments are moderated manually and will be removed if they contain any personal information.
